Why it’s cool
This historic 1938 mansion houses a chilling collection of cursed artifacts and macabre history. From serial killer relics to the notorious Dybbuk box, it offers a visceral encounter with the paranormal.

Beyond the neon glare of the Las Vegas Strip, a 1938 mansion serves as a repository for some of the world's most unsettling artifacts. Originally built for banker Cyril Wengert, the sprawling residence later served as the headquarters for the Nevada Bar Association.
Today, it is better known as the home of Zak Bagans Haunted Museum, a place where local urban legends and dark rumors of historical rituals meet a massive collection of macabre curiosities.
Why It Stands Out
The museum is far more than a simple haunted house attraction. It is a carefully curated archive of the grotesque and the paranormal.
A similar focus on the macabre can be found at Woolly Mammoth Antiques and Oddities. Visitors walk through a series of themed environments, including a puppet theater and a funeral parlor adorned with hand-painted glass from the 1800s.
The collection spans from the tragic to the terrifying, featuring personal belongings of Las Vegas icons like Liberace and Michael Jackson alongside the tools of notorious figures. The Burlesque Hall of Fame also preserves the personal artifacts of local performers.
One of the most sobering displays is the Volkswagen van once used by Dr. Jack Kevorkian.
For those who follow paranormal investigations, the museum contains several legendary items. The infamous Dybbuk box and the original wooden staircase from the Indiana "Demon House" are both on display.
There is also a dedicated space for Peggy, a doll rumored to cause physical distress to those who look at her. The atmosphere is heavy with the weight of these objects, many of which are associated with famous serial killers like Charles Manson and John Wayne Gacy.
Before You Go
Entry is strictly limited to those aged 16 and older. Every guest must sign a liability waiver before starting the guided tour, as the experience includes graphic imagery and unexpected jump scares.
If you are under 18, certain areas of the museum will remain off-limits. Photography and any form of audio or video recording are strictly prohibited inside the building to maintain the atmosphere and privacy of the collection.
Tours are the only way to see the interior, and you might even spot Bagans himself on the grounds.
Questions worth answering
Can I bring my kids along for the tour?
You have to be at least 16 to get through the door. Even then, anyone under 18 is barred from specific high-risk displays.

Are there any rules about what I can do during the visit?
Leave your camera in your pocket. Recording audio or taking photos is strictly forbidden inside the building.
Is this a standard walk-through museum experience?
