Public spaces were very nice. | The iPad that controlled all the functions in the room was a disaster. Theoretically it controlled the temperature of the room but in practice it did nothing. Our first room never warmed above the minimum temperature despite the desk clerk trying to do something from their end. We were given an extra duvet to get through the night and then changed rooms the next day. The clerk on duty in the morning blamed the construction of the room but didn't express any sympathy nor offer any accomodation other than a different room - which turned out to be only slightly better. The other room features that were controlled by the iPad worked but were poorly designed. For example, you could control the TV but not turn on sub-titles as you could if you had a real remote.I am a gadget freak who loves high-tech solutions but not if they sacrifice functionality. Minor point: Why no free coffee/hot water during the day? You could purchase specialty coffee drinks at the bar all day but the ordinary coffee maker was removed after breakfast service. Needless to say, there was no in-room coffee.
