Great location and quirky hotel.

Great hotel decor and overall vibe. Went for Mardi Gras and they were sold out but the flow and movement around the hotel was well planned. Well designed rooms, though there should be a way to shut off the automatic closet lights when you don't need them. Right around the corner is a CVS as well as a full size Rouse's market with a ton of prepared foods. | We arrived just slightly earlier than their posted check-in. They took a cell number and texted when the room was ready, unfortunately it was 45 min after their posted check-in. But, it was Mardi Gras and they said they were both sold out and short staffed. The pool closes for guest use at 7pm--though we were told it is heated, unfortunately we weren't able to make the 7pm cutoff--and Mardi Gras day, they just had it closed when I looked. Part of the reason we booked here was the heated pool. It is a bit of a hike to the french quarter.

Beautiful rooms and common areas and city views. Chamber design is great. | Pool is a decoration only, a pity they didn’t add a few feet to it in length and depth. Had a rooftop corner room which was fab, but one window has a giant TV screen in the way, what a waste! A retractable TV screen would be the way to go.
