Guest Reviews
Other than the great location this Kimpton property is nothing special. Our room could have been anywhere with no special touches and in need of a refresh. The property itself is fine but again nothing of note. No need to pay a premium to stay here if similar options are more affordable.
Great stay and restaraunt, thanks Dermot!
This is the third time I have stayed at this Palomar location in Philadelphia. The hotel is very clean and in a great location for parking your car valet, and walking the rest of the weekend. Lots of restaurants and shops within a stones throw of the hotel. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. Especially I would like to acknowledge, ONALISA, LIZEL & DERMOT for their hospitality and help you were always greeted upon entry back to the hotel and ask if there’s anything they can do for you. Especially enjoyed the free popcorn and wine hour. They have it every night between 5 and 6 PM. They even had a non-alcoholic drink available free of charge. It’s five star service.
Great service. Made half a dozen visits to the front desk and never had to wait. Jennifer in particular was fabulous! Did I get early check in? Yes I did. Did the front desk print some papers for me that I needed? Yes they did. And an envelope too.
The team was AMAZING! From check in I was immediately greeted and offered to carry in my luggage and valet me car. Checkin was seamless, friendly, professional. Any requests we had were met with courtesy and in a timely manor.
We recently stayed at this hotel for a cheer competition in Philly and chose it specifically because we needed a family & dog‑friendly option—and we’re so glad we did. From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. In fact, the best part of our stay was the consistently positive interactions we had with team members across the board: front desk, valet, housekeeping, and food and beverage. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Special shoutouts to Jenn and Aaron for making our checkout process seamless. Our room was very clean, and the shower had excellent water pressure. Traveling with our dog, we really appreciated the provided pet bowl and bed—our dog slept soundly in them each night, which made our stay that much more comfortable and stress-free. The on-site restaurant, Square 1682, was absolutely wonderful. The cocktails and dishes were thoughtfully crafted, and each plate seemed even more flavorful than the last. Service was very attentive and kept passing by to ask if we needed anything. Room service was also prompt, courteous, and consistent in quality. Location in center city was excellent, many upscale shopping and dining options. We’re already planning a future trip to Philadelphia to visit Independence Hall and Old City, and we will definitely return to this hotel when we do. Thank you for a fantastic stay!
Onalisa was the best. So friendly and helpful!
The location was great | Needs a bit of a refresh but it’s comfortable
The room was quiet, and the towels were nice. | It's dark and loud in the lobby, and the furniture is shabby and dirty. The room was small and barely one notch above a motel. There was an empty bottle from a previous guest that we had to ask twice to be removed. One of the bedside lights had to be fixed. There was no coffee machine, which is standard. The fridge was empty, which we were told is policy since COVID (it has been six years, people). Someone has made the ridiculous decision to play loud music in ridiculous locations (the elevator, at 9:00 in the morning, in the dining room). Why? Who asked for that?
It was my first time in Philly in over 10 years. I greatly appreciate the great service by Dermot and Aaron. They were great support for the three days I spent in the market on business.
