We had to stay here after our cabin rental in Tellico Plains fell through and Quality Inn next door didn't have a pet room available so we had no choice but to stay here for the night. We didn't feel comfortable but it was almost midnight and we had driven over 900 miles and were exhausted (we tried to stay in Sweetwater but they too had no pet rooms available after Quality Inn front desk told us they did and no, I'm not blaming the front desk clerk for this because Rodeway Inn clerk didn't answer the phone and she could only go off the website). We stayed here and felt gross and unsecure in the room - it was just the vibe and feel of the room. There is tile on the floor and it looked clean and we didn't see any unwanted guests (ie bedbugs) on the bed but the comforter was torn in spots and had cigarette burn holes even though it's a non-smoking hotel. Yes, it's a pet friendly hotel (it was $10 extra for our dog) and we were on the first floor and the next morning, we could hear people in the room above us walking around (sounding like they were stomping) and could hear furniture being moved around - I've never experienced that in a hotel. Needless to say we didn't sleep well and we quickly packed up and left. The front desk people weren't polite or friendly (they keep the door locked even during the day) and I would only suggest staying here if it's the only hotel available. We paid almost $90 (with the pet fee) for a room that should have only been $60.

Room smelled of mildew, went snd bought spray, doused room, left for few hours and still could not sleep due to odor. Bathroom had only 1 towel in it and when picked up had a hair ball on it, ask housekeeper for additional towels since 2 people and they were all filthy stained. Would not use shower due to filth buildup along sides, toilet wabbled, exposed fan parts on ceiling. Found a wire on lamp spliced for new plug with exposed wires. Great fire hazard. Would of left and asked for refund upon arrival but Expedia does not refund money Will never use Econlodge again

Expedia nor the property would not allow me a refund for cancelling to stay here after viewing the deplorable rooms. So it’s simple I just don’t use Expedia anymore and I def will not return to that location.

Adequate for a quick, efficient stay, but fairly drab interior, some items need repair/replacement (lamp shades). Able to park right outside first-floor room, easy to move items in. Soaps were amusingly thin, but adequate. We were missing bath towels. Proprietor could not find our reservation but gave us a $10 'walk-in' discount, which was nice.

I'm not sure how to rate this place. It's a One Star Motel. It deserves that rating. But you get what you pay for. I have stayed in worse motels that even at One Star deserved less. This place was fine for a One Star Motel
