It was very nice looked just like the pictures and gave the comfy home vibe like i wanted | That the HVAC was down so we had to use a space heater but it wasnt a big deal to us because it wasnt cold when it wasnt on, but we also had the fireplace which was nice

We were put in one of their “villas” or “cabins” instead of staying in the main hotel. The bath room was not clean (gunk was stuck to the blinds so I couldnt touch them) and the shower leaked at the base (through a crack in the tile) which soaked the entire floor. The shower nozzle also looks like its never been cleaned once so the water pressure was poor. The room we were in had paper walls and it didnt help there was a full ring of light coming from the fully closed door. I was awoken by both neighbors and the cars on the main road several times throughout the night. Fun fact, there is also a train that runs right next to these cabins, and it runs at 2am. The thin walls leave a front row seat to train noises. The parking for these rooms is also a pain. There are four rooms to a row of villas, and theres only parking for two cars at max. The other side across from our room was a dumpster, which yes, you can hear people using in the early hours, so don’t hope to sleep in. We had to park down the road since the dumpster took up half the street, and the other guests parked in-front of our unit. The pool and hot tub were broken during the time we stayed as a cherry on top. Overall, would not call this place a resort in any context, or at least not on off season. I couldn’t imagine the noise and parking situation when every unit is in use.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Great location. | Rooms are small/tight

We absolutely loved our stay at the Westgate! The receptionist who checked us in was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. The hallway to our room was well lit and we loved how it was decorated. The room itself blew us away! So spacious, clean and beautiful. The bathroom was huge! And there was a washer + dryer in the hallway closet. The bed was comfortable and we could adjust fan speeds. The hotel is walking distance (about 20/30 mins — we love to walk) but it was rainy during our visit so we drove. The drive to Williamsburg was about 5 minutes and then another 5 to Colonial Williamsburg. Would 100% recommend to those visiting the area! And we will be back should we find ourselves out here again!

Our family group of eight people booked three individual rooms at this hotel for December 18 check in and December 20 check out. We were given rooms about a block away from the main hotel in cottage type apartments. While away for the day on the 19th I came back to find that my jewelry was stolen. We reported this to the hotel manager who had someone come out and check the door and three times it read incorrectly. They took a report and we have never heard from them again, after they told us they would keep in touch. We should have filed a police report, but I thought the hotel would take care of it. IF YOU STAY HERE MAKE SURE YOUR VALUABLES ARE NOT LEFT BEHIND, WE HAD A DO NOT DISTURB NOTICE ON OUR DOOR, WHICH WAS APPARENTLY IGNORED! I would recommend staying somewhere else. When we return to Virginia, we will NOT stay at a Westgate Hotel. Over decades of traveling and cruising, this is the first time we were robbed. Now we have learned our lesson.
