The history | Room was sooo tiny, one small wooed chair. Light to bathroom , was on the wall outside bathroom. Had to get out of bathroom to turn light on. Bed was way too soft. Backache.
Staff was very nice | There were 2 bottles of water in the room but no coffee or tea etc. For the morning
Gorgeous building. Perfect location. Peaceful. | No breakfast option or desk in room.
Staff was kind, location was great. | Noisy at night, room layout, less than basic amenities
I’m literally writing this from the bed at 12:42 AM, and honestly the best part of this hotel is the bed…..it’s genuinely comfortable. The property itself is historic and kind of vibey, so I wanted to love it… but our room felt really outdated and run down. We must have been placed in an older room because the carpet is worn, the bathroom is very dated, and there’s even a sink in the middle of the room, which was just odd. The HVAC system sounds ancient, and there’s light spewing in from the hallway through cracks around the door. And the noise is unreal. There’s a bar down the road and you can hear the music even with the windows shut …. the bass is literally pounding. It’s not relaxing at all, and definitely not what you expect when you’re paying $250/night. We tried cracking the window for fresh air, but the outside noise from the area is so loud it’s not an option. I also called down to ask for earplugs and they don’t have any, which feels kind of outrageous for a hotel at this price point. To top it off, the TV doesn’t work. Overall it has potential because of the historic charm, but the room quality and experience do not match the price. Would not recommend.
Good location | Heater thermostat did not work. Bathroom a bit too cozy. Valet parking got pitch on the car- parked under a tree.
